At the second annual Igniting the Future Together Gala, Althoff Catholic High School announced a new partnership with HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. “Recently, we finalized a very meaningful partnership with HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital based upon our shared missions of bringing Christ’s presence to those we serve in our respective institutions,” said Dave Harris. St. Elizabeth’s mission is ‘to reveal and embody Christ’s healing love for all people through high quality Franciscan health care ministry.’ The new partnership will bring this mission to the Althoff Catholic community through athletic training and other health care services to student athletes through St. Elizabeth’s Athletes Advantage Program.
The second part of the partnership is based upon sponsorship and advertising support in and around Althoff Catholic’s new outdoor athletic complex, the gymnasium and in the new STREAM Lab over the course of the next five years. In addition, St. Elizabeth’s hopes to support Althoff students aspiring to pursue a career in the health care industry with presentations by medical professionals in the STREAM Lab. “It is such an exciting time for us to be entering into a five-year partnership with Althoff Catholic High School,” said Peg Sebastian, President & CEO of HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. “Both of our organizations are working to strengthen the important Catholic-based services we provide to our community. This partnership benefits both of our institutions and demonstrates St. Elizabeth’s continued commitment to the Belleville community.”
“We could not be more proud to partner with our Metro East region’s Catholic hospital as both of our institutions move into exciting new chapters,” said Dave Harris. “We are grateful to be an important part of St. Elizabeth Hospital’s continued commitment to Belleville.”
Igniting the Future Together is a comprehensive campaign that includes capital improvements to the school’s campus with the goal of adding a STREAM Lab and outdoor athletic complex. Thanks to the generosity of the community, Althoff Catholic is proud to be at $2.2 million in gifts and pledges. Upon reaching the $2.4 million mark, Althoff Catholic will seek final approval from the Diocese of Belleville to begin both the STREAM Lab and the Athletic Complex.
Althoff Catholic High School is seeking an additional $200,000 in gifts and pledges within the next 30 days in order to move the project forward in a timely manner. Alumni, friends and businesses interested in advertising opportunities are invited to consider a contribution to the campaign online or via mail.
